Forevermore in Search of Twin Strawberry

Inspired by the tv series of “Forevermore” by Xander and Agnes cute love team pair, we decided to go to La Trinidad, Benguet, Strawberry Farm to search for the twin strawberry.

As they say, if you find this twin strawberry, you have to eat the half of that strawberry with your lovey dove so you’ll stay forever. I’m so carried away on this recently ended tv series. So…… here we go!

Sad to say, this is the only one I got!
A juicy, sweet strawberry.

Now, there’s really no forever! I don’t believe in forever anyway….. Walang forever as some say!
These are our harvest. Just kidding :)

I mean their harvest.
Why not ours?
Because……. If you’re the one who will harvest their strawberry crops, you’ll gonna pay a hefty amount of Php 350!
Why so costly considering I’m the one who will pick up those strawberries, they minimize somewhat on the labor cost.
No dear! It is only your way of thinking.
The truth is…….. strawberry picking in La Trinidad, Benguet is costly because you are just a neophyte, no knowledge on how to pick strawberries properly and you may damage their plots and crops. Costly because that Php 350 covers all!
Since we are practical tourists, we asked those stall owners if we could make pictures of picking strawberries and taste some of it. A two or three is not bad.
To do so, all you need is a good and competitive negotiating power that after taking some pictures, you will buy some of their strawberry products.

Presto! We have our strawberry picking souvenirs!
And we only pay Php 240 for the 2 kilos of strawberries. (Php 120/kilos when we went there).
Isn’t that is so economical and practical?
Don’t forget to have a free taste of their wine strawberries.
I had 2 shots!

Remember this road?

Yes, it is where Agnes throws cabbage to Xander when he attempted to run.
How I missed the pair!
There was this time I really missed Xander and the whole cast of “Forevermore” and once again, I watched the whole 150 episodes here: http://tfc.tv/
And as always, I was once again get thrilled, pissed off to Cate and get in love to Xander and Agnes for this 7 days free trial.
Goodbye Forevermore.
Walang forever! No forever indeed…….!

Anyways, here’s how to get in the Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, Benguet, Baguio.

Take jeepney route via La Trinidad, Camp Dangwa, Buyagan, Tublay and Cruz.
Estimated walk from the main road is I think 20 meters away.
You can take a taxi I you want a city tour for Php 300/hour.
You can contact this driver who assisted us to make this tour possible:
Bobot Lorenzana
Contact Numbers: 09183264453/09219123474

Getting a city tour taxi is not advisable for me because of the traffic in the area.
I think in Km 3, La Trinidad? I’m not so sure here.

We paid Php 550 for our city tour from Lefern Hotel to La Trinidad.
http://trifter.com/practical-travel/where-to-stay-in-baguio-a-review-2/

We reached only two tourist spot in Baguio: Bell Church and Strawberry Farm.

Where to Stay in Baguio: A Review

If you’re looking for high quality service, this Baguio Lefern Hotel is a great choice.

We found Lefern Hotel on internet and since we know that probably because of Panagbenga festival, hotels there might be all fully booked which is very true.
According to one news report, there were 2 million tourist there to witness their annual flower festival so before we go to Baguio, we booked ourselves in advance in the aforementioned hotel.

A piece of advice: Be sure to confirm your booking/reservation on Lefern hotel. Inform them that you’ll be coming on the given date and your expected arrival in the area will be that and this so as to be sure that the room is not occupied because when we get there, the reserved room for us was occupied already but everything had been taking care of by their staffs.
Going back.
We opt to stay in a family room, the apple green room at Php 2,199 per day.
On their website, it says that the room can accommodate 4 persons.
It has 2 single beds and if you are 4 persons, you have to pay for the 2 extra beds for Php 450 each with complimentary breakfast or Php 300 without breakfast.
The room is spacious enough for 4 persons. Clean, neat and the plus point to this hotel are their courteous, helpful staffs willing to assist you everytime.
Their complimentary breakfasts are good.

The creamy beef on bread is a must try.

Their resto bar.

You can reach Lefern hotel by feet which is few blocks away from Victory Liner terminal.
This hotel is near at Sm City Baguio.
Their address: 45 North Drive Road, Engineer's Hill, Baguio City
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Baguio, I highly recommend this Baguio Lefern Hotel.
You won’t regret staying in this place.
My rate out of 5 is 4.5

Cars/Motor Show 2015: One of Panagbenga’s Festival Highlights in Baguio

It was a great chance to witness this car exhibition in Baguio; one of the highlights on their 2015 annual celebration of flower festival.

These are my bet.

My second pick.

The rest are just as interesting.

What’s your bet?
Truth is….. I simply love cars though I have little knowledge about its spare parts, engines, models, and the like.
Since I was a little child, nobody knows I have great passion on cars and how I wish someday I can rev high end one and be in a race field!
Check more car models on my page.

Bakasyunan Resort in Tanay, Rizal

One of the finest resort in Rizal for people who have active lifestyles!

This bakasyunan resort is not too far from Metro Manila.
I think, it is 2 hours journey only from the van terminal in Star Mall, Shaw Boulevard, Edsa and an hour or so if you have car.
I don’t know how much is the entrance fee here for we only booked ourselves for an overnight stay accommodation for Php 2,000 for 2.
We have room price list in our page in facebook as well as some pictures in:
https://www.facebook.com/DifferentPlacestoExplore
“Bakasyunan Resort brings you close to nature with its breathtaking surroundings that gives you a great view of the mountains and lets you breathe in fresh, cool and clean air.”
Yes, this is very true and once you’re there, you won’t wish anymore to go back to your place again! Lol!
You will surely enjoy here.
Everything you will need in life is all here.
Sorry that I was too exaggerated for I really love the place.
What’s in here?
So many!
Like zipline, wall climbing, rappelling, billiard, table tennis, dart, freedom wall just in case you’re angry to your neighbour or you hated them much, you can throw a manmade shit here.

That so cooooool especially if you are jealous too, shout it out and throw something there.
Going back, there’s also maze.
To those who love driving and tired of walking, the ATV big is for you.

There’s horseback riding too and airsoft.
And for those peg is singing, don’t worry, there’s videoke.
What else you can ask for on this Bakasyunan Resort?
No more I guess!
Why bakasyunan?
I think because instead of cottages, it’s their individual houses you will occupy. All are air-conditioned.

During our overnight stay here, the place is so peaceful and you’ll going to have a nice sleep.
No need to worry about foods, there’s restaurant there.

If you have a good taste for food, don’t expect too much on the taste, its average only.
That’s my own rate only. Sorry. I know to others, we have different taste buds.
Anyway, you can bring your own food there but subject to corkage fee.
Their restaurant:

By the way, from Star Mall, Shaw Boulevard, Edsa, van fare is Php 70/pax.
From Tanay terminal, jeep fare is Php 28/pax going to Bakasyunan Resort which is along the highway only.
Simply ask the jeepney driver to drop you in Bakasyunan Resort.
If you will ride in a tricycle, the fare ranges from Php 30 – 50/pax.
If you have good negotiating power about the fare, Php 30 is enough and this is both fair for you and the driver. (We pay 30 pesos only). See you soon again in our next adventure.
Have a nice summer vacation everyone.
Take care!

2015 Escapade in Aquaria Beach Resort

It was a nice sunny Saturday morning when we plan to use our Metrodeal vouchers in Aquaria Beach Resort in Sta.Ana, Playa, Calatagan, Batangas.
On their “fine print”, it says:
It is 3 hours away from Metro Manila.
Yes indeed and perhaps!
Perhaps if you have your own wheels, a car, this might be possible, that is……. if you don’t get lost or you are very familiar in the city of Batangas.
Anyways, here are our experiences in reaching the place.
Fuck to those bloggers who blogged without minding those people who are relying only on their write-ups on how to get in the place. This will ruin your day and lost you in nowhere. Sorry for that to some bloggers.
Though there is a location map provided by the merchant/company, that is not a guarantee you can reach the resort in time or I must say, it’s useless too!
3 hours away from Metro Manila…… fine!
The truth is, if you will commute, it takes 3 hours trip from Cubao bus station to Lemery, Batangas (Php 186/pax). Take note! Only to Lemery.
I’m not saying that it is the right route going to Aquaria resort for we found out way back to Manila, there are many routes going there as our tricycle driver confide.
Going back to our experience, the bus driver dropped us at Lemery, Xentro Mall, right at the line of parked jeepneys and vans.
We took a van: route to Balayan-Nasugbu (fare: php 70 per pax) and we get off in Lian public market where we rode in a jeep via Calatagan (fare: php 38 per pax). Ask the jeepney driver to drop you in the tricycle terminal going to Sta.Ana, Playa.
We get off at what we heard “Bayan”.
This is not the end of the journey!
We took a tricycle after which is only 10 minutes (more or less) away from Aquaria resort.
See?
It’s not only 3 hours, mind you! Because……
From Lemery, Batangas going to somewhere, nowhere we don’t know, it took more or less an hour going to Lian. These does not include the waiting period to get the jeep full.
Thanks that thinking the word “Lian”, which remind me of my fav actors Liam Neeson and Xian Lim somehow made me a reason to smile though I’m so annoyed, irritated that time because half of our day was consumed in finding Aquaria resort because we believed in what we read; on the info provided in the blog we clicked!
At last, we reach the sought after resort in Batangas.
As our tricycle driver said, the best resort thus far in Batangas which is true!

Even on the fine prints in Metrodeal, the presentation/pictures are awesome. True to the core.

How much is the entrance fee? Php 700/pax.
Cabana, if my memory serves me right, the rental fee is Php 1,200 and the lockers are Php 150.
There are free use of chairs and tables outside the pool area. It is in the beach.
Happy swimming everyone!
Special thanks to Kuya Nato for waiting us and for his tips where we could ride to reach Aquaria resort the next time around without getting lost in Batangas and of course for not charging us higher tricycle fee.
You can contact him in his cell/mobile number for tricycle service ( from Bayan to Sta.Ana, Playa, Calatagan) at minimal fee. 09109392911.
Just a footnote: Tricycle charges if you are in a hurry to reach Aquaria resort from Lemery – Sta.Ana, Playa, Calatagan, a hefty PHP 500 which is negotiable to Php 400 which I think just fair because the place is really far from Lemery.
This one is totally ridiculous, in Bayan, some tricycle drivers will charge you Php 140/pax or Php 400/group in one way going to Sta.Ana, Playa which is only 10 minutes more or less drive.
Don’t be fooled by this, so I’m referring you Kuya Nato.
I don’t know him personally; we don’t have any relation too. I just find him one of the best guys in the terminal. He only charged us Php 200 back and forth. You should text him.
Other bus option going to Aquaria resort in Playa, Calatagan, Batangas:
Metropoint Pasay: Nasugbu, Batangas Route.
From Nasugbu, take Lian Route.
Ride in a jeep going to Calatagan in Lian public market.
Get off at Bayan.
Take tricycle after going to Sta.Ana, Playa, Calagan.
Last trip of jeepney in Calatagan is 5:30pm.
Hurry up then but don’t worry, in Lian public market, right in front of 7 11 convenient store, there are buses going to Metro Manila and vice versa round the clock!
Just a few reminders:
Heavy traffic ahead to and pro from Tagaytay and Cavite respectively. Even on our way from Cubao, Manila going to Lemery, Batangas was a disaster too!
Plan your trip in Aquaria resort as early as possible.
Aquaria Resort is open from 9am – 5:30pm.
This is some kind of joke that the resort has banana boat, jetski, waterball and frisbee. I don’t see any at all! I only saw 1 kayak but you can snorkel there just like in any other beach.
Where did I saw these? The banana boat, jetski, waterball and frisbee? In White Sand, Puerto Galera.
Enjoy your summer everyone. :)
Kita kits tayo next time in our next adventure!
Check some pictures of Aquaria beach resort on my page!
